Battcar track is mounted with fasteners that screw directly into special slugs which slide into the original mast groove - no drilling ot tapping. Slugs are available for flat or round mast grooves. Mast stays up during installation.
One (1) slug mounting kit is required for each section of track.
Battcar systems let you raise, douse, and reef the main instantly from the cockpit — even when close reaching in a big breeze. Battcar systems outperform in-mast or in-boom furling, cost far less, and the sail doesn't need to be recut.
Battcar systems are available in four sizes - AA, A, B, and C - depending on the mainsail area. They can be used on momhulls to 90 ft (27 m) and multihulls to 70 ft (21 m).
The Battcars, themselves, are available with either low-friction circulating ball bearings (CB Cars) for batten cars and high load applications, or with low-friction plastic inserts (Slider Cars) for intermediate cars and lower load applications.
