This is a thin tape with a very aggressive tack.

As an adhesive transfer tape, there is no "carrier" that the adhesive is bound to.
Sometimes referred to as "double-sided adhesive transfer tape" - the product is essentially a layer of glue.
Unroll and apply to one surface, then peel off the paper liner to expose the adhesive layer, and apply the second material.

Adhesive Transfer Tapes with Adhesive 300 stick to a wide variety of surfaces, including many difficult-to-stick-to plastics.
The pressure-sensitive acrylic Adhesive 300 family is one of 3M's strongest, and features very high initial adhesion and excellent long term holding power.
The medium firm adhesive has the ability to "flow" into small surface irregularities, forming a stronger bond.

Use 950 as a general purpose transfer tape for a variety of high tack, thin applications:
Bond high and low surface energy plastics, foams, fabrics, and coated papers.
Use it for splicing film, foils, photos, labels, gasket attachment, picture framing.
950 is the closest product 3M has to a "carpet tape".

• Works on both high surface energy (HSE) and low surface energy (LSE) materials
• Adheres to a wide variety of similar and dissimilar materials
• Good chemical resistance
• Fair UV resistance - not recommended for applications with direct exposure to sunlight
• Ideal for bonding flexible materials like paper or sheet metals
• Liner is tan, 3.5 mil, 60 lb densified kraft paper
• UL approved. Meets US government specification MIL-P-19834B, Amendment 1

Heavy on the technical side...
• Excellent (9 out of 10) adhesion to foam, high surface energy and low surface energy materials; very good adhesion to metal
• Very good (6 or 7 out of 10) initial and ultimate peel strength, solvent, chemical and humidity resistance
• Medium moisture and UV resistance (avoid applications where adhesive is exposed to sunlight through glass, clear plastic, etc.; edge exposure is generally satisfactory)
• Medium plasticizer resistance - test first at 150° for 5 - 7 days
• Adhesive 300 will not bleed into most paper stock, so use on posters and business forms is generally okay.

Bond strength is dependent upon the amount of adhesive-to-surface contact developed.
Firm application pressure helps develop better adhesive contact and improve bond strength.
Ideal tape application temperature range is 70°F to 100°F (21° to 38°C).
Initial tape application to surfaces at temperatures below 50°F (10°C) is not recommended because the adhesive becomes too firm to adhere readily.
However, once properly applied, low temperature holding is satisfactory.
