This monitor badge offers an easy and economical way to sample your working environment air for up to 3 hazardous organic vapor compounds out of a list of approximately 80 common compounds.
More than 3 compounds can be sampled by using additional monitor badges.
The badge uses a charcoal sorbent wafer for collecting organic vapors.
The badge is simply clipped to the worker's clothing and worn for a specified time period.
The monitor is then sent to an AIHA accredited laboratory for analysis.
Freight and lab analysis is pre-paid, and comes with the purchase price of this #3510 monitor.
The returned laboratory analysis report (takes about 2 weeks) will provide the average concentration of the particular chemicals you selected, based on the amount found by the lab and the sampling time you reported.
This average may be converted into an 8 hour time weighted average, if you wish to compare it against an 8 hour exposure limit.
The concentration reported can be used to determine the service life of a 3M™ organic vapor cartridge in the environment that was monitored, under the same conditions.
Call the 3M Technical Service Helpline for further information 1-800-243-4630. The people you will speak with are very helpful.
