High performance and durability for shaping and polishing stainless steel, as well as deburring and finishing applications.

A mainstay among professionals, you can use a medium EXL disc for surgically shaping rough welds, followed by a fine EXL disc for polishing, to make your work appear as though the weld never existed, and the work is all one piece.
Using this procedure will minimize the amount of traditional grinding and shaping, as well as tedious cotton wheel and rouge polishing required to get to a mirror finish.

Note:  When new, the sharp corner/edge on these discs can unexpectedly gouge your work.
To avoid this, you can soften the original corner by hand with 80 grit sandpaper (an 80 grit Stikit disc stuck to a workbench works well for this).

• Roloc plastic (TR) threaded attachment system secures the disc to the holder.
Use with the appropriate size Roloc Disc Pad Assembly - see Related Items, below
• Layered unitized wheel construction - abrasive is distributed throughout the structure

Heavy on the technical side...
• These discs come in a firmness range of 2 thru 8
— #2 firmness is relatively soft and conformable, like a very heavy felt pad, but still capable of shaping stainless welds
— #6 firmness is hard and durable - suitable for deburring, etc.
• These discs come in an abrasive range of Very Fine thru Extra Coarse
— Abrasive mineral in Medium is aluminum oxide (A) for fast cutting
— Abrasive mineral in Fine is a fine grade silicon carbide (S) for polishing
