Description
This is a high grade friction tape with good abrasion resistance used for protecting wire and cable splices and connections.
It is also used as an overwrap for mechanical protection.
Friction tape is made from cotton cloth impregnated with a rubber based adhesive.
The adhesive soaks through the cloth backing, making it sticky on both sides.
The rubber based adhesive gives it electrical insulating properties.
