These are semi-custom pre-cut lengths of Vernatube.
They are available on a special order basis.
While "standard" Vernatube lengths are usually 10 feet long, these pre-cut items come in 36" and 60" lengths, as shown.
Vernatube is a corrosion-resistant, high-temperature exhaust tubing used in marine diesel and gasoline engine wet exhaust systems.
Vernatube is specifically designed with a smooth, resin-rich interior coating for excellent exhaust gas and cooling water flow.
Precise outside diameters facilitate perfect connections between sections of the tubing and flexible joints or hoses. Additionally, the semi-smooth outer surface provides for superior clamping for easy and secure hose connections.
• Tubing size is measured by the outside diameter
• Easy to work with and install
• Tough — Manufactured by winding resin-impregnated fiberglass rovings onto a rotating mandrel
• A predetermined fiberglass pattern results in maximum hoop and longitudinal strength
• Fire Resistant — Vernatube fire ratings exceed the values required for self-extinguishing rating (ASTM-D-635) due to the use of Hetron and Dion FR resins
• UL Listed - Vernatube exceeds values for the class of materials rated as self-extinguishing, per ASTM-D635, UL94V-O, and US Navy/USCG MIL-R-21607; MIL-R-7575
• Corrosion Resistant — A smooth interior with a resin rich liner assures friction-free flow and maximizes chemical corrosion resistance
• Installation — Vernatube is for use in wet exhaust systems only
• Temperature — Vernatube should be located far enough downstream from the water-injection point to ensure that it is not exposed to temperatures in excess of 250°F
• Warning — Vernatube should never be installed in an exhaust system where structural loads from the boat/vessel might be transferred to the tube producing stress. Such stress could result in damage or failure of the tube or other components of the system
• Standard lengths are 10 feet for diameters of 12" and less; and 12 feet in larger diameters
