Generally, any Garmin transducer can be used with any recent Garmin Fishfinder, Sonar Module, or Chartplotter with a built-in sonar module.
NMEA 2000 transducers, however, can only be used with NMEA 2000-compatible devices.
This intelliducer enhances your boat's marine instrumentation capabilities by providing both depth and temperature data to your NMEA 2000 Garmin digital marine display or chartplotter.
(Transducers only provide raw data, and must be connected to a processor - usually a depth sounder with a display, or a "black box" sonar module - in order to display depth, speed, etc.)
This 150W transom mount transducer with an operating frequency of 160 kHz has a maximum depth of 900 ft, and mounts on a 0 to 22 degree transom.
Depth transducers are typically available in 50/200 KHz - deep (over 1,000 ft)/shallow water (200-600 ft max.) and 200 KHz (200-600 ft max. shallow water) models.
As you can see, this is an intermediate model, balancing the benefits and disadvantages of depth vs. resolution vs. coverage.
The transducer kit comes with installation instructions. Follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging your boat.
