Overview
This sealed macerator pump provides the same performance as older macerators, but in a package that resists corrosion in harsh salt-water environments. The macerator is sealed by using a powder coated seamless motor yoke and front and rear motor endbells. Lip seals are located at the front and rear of the motor and a rubber grommmet seals the power wires.

• New 4-blade stainless steel cutter reduces particles to 1/8" maximum

Should be better quality for the price, October 12, 2015
The pump is about 2 years old and 3 of the 4 studs for the impeller housing corroded away.

Jabsco Macerator Pump, March 13, 2014
I have purchased three of the 12volt version and in each case in short order the thru bolts have sheared due to corrosion or have to much torque applied during manufacture. I have been sent the replacement stud to no avail because the stud breaks off in the plastic housing making it impossible to repair.
