Positive pressure systems afford a higher level of protection than face masks alone, as the user is not dependent on the integrity of a facepiece seal to prevent exposure. They are NIOSH⁄MSHA approved and ideal for welding, spray painting, chemical handling, and many other applications. Typical system requirements: choice of series 6000, 7500, or 7800S series full or half facepieces (see separate catalog entry), an adapter kit, an air supply hose, and an electric pump low-pressure air source (user supplied); add an air purification panel when a high-pressure shop compressor air source is used.
