| | Schaefer's foot blocks are computer machined to provide the strength needed in high-stress applications. Low friction, Universal Circuit Sheaves contain a Nomex⁄Teflon self-lubricating bushing for high strength and easy turning under load, and races of ball bearings for smooth running and the ability to handle variations in sheet lead.

"Strip-from-the-Top" design allows complete disassembly without removal of the deck mounted base plate Countersunk flush fasteners and a unique, anti-rotation sheave pin, keyed into the underside of the top plate, provides a smooth surface to eliminate chafe and fouled lines Note that with typical sheet lead bends of 90° to 180°, the load on foot blocks can be up to twice the sheet load.
