Dixie Industries pike poles are 1- 1/2" O.D. anodized, extruded, tubular aluminum with a wall thickness of 1/16" Considerably lighter than the same length pole made with ash Durable - will stay straight with continued use Will not sink if dropped - hardwood fittings in each end are secured by machine crimping and a rubber seal, making the handles buoyant Pike hook is 10" (overall) and has threaded shank to allow for easy attachment to the handle Threads are twisted and resist removal after being seated unless backed off 1/2 turn after being seated Drop forged; straight pike and hook only Note: due to their length, these items must be shipped via truck or air freight
