Vivid offers the brightest colors, the blackest black, and the whitest white available. Dual biocides provide excellent multi-season protection in waters with aggressive fouling.

Vivid's hybrid technology incorporates all the benefits of both ablative and hard bottom paints in one. Vivid leaches biocides, like a traditional hard bottom paint, but then the outer layer breaks down in the water, exposing a new layer of biocide. This self-polishing surface resists build-up, and can be burnished to a procelain-like, slick, racing finish, if desired.
Vivid can safely be used on aluminum hulls and outdrives - when applied over your choice of the recommended primers.

Traditional bottom paints use toxic heavy metals, like cadmium, to slow the release of biocides from the paint. Vivid uses Pettit's breakthrough Clean-Core technology to replace as much as 50% of the heavy metals in the paint, for a cleaner environment. The Clean-Core chemistry allows for more consistent release of fresh biocides from the surface of the paint -- providing better protection over a longer time span.

• Hard, smooth surface withstands the abuse of trailering and dry storage
• Hard surface dramatically reduces amount of biocide released during cleaning and powerwashing.
• Resists paint build up over time
• Dual biocides offer excellent multi-season protection - cuprous thiocyanate 25%; zinc pyrithione: 2.8%
• Application: brush, 3/16" or less nap roller, airless or spray
• Thinner: Pettit 120 Brushing or Pettit 121 Spraying Thinner
• Theoretical coverage is 440 ft²/gallon; 2 or preferably 3 coats recommended; 65% solids (vol.)

Heavy on the technical side...
White copper is one of the secrets to Vivid's incredible success. Clean white in color, this copper biocide is lightweight and so effective it requires 50% less biocide content than the heavy, reddish brown cuprous oxide used in conventional antifoulants.
Mixed with bright color pigments, the clean white base produces the brightest antifouling colors plus the whitest white and the blackest black.
