The Grip Release allows the line with the hook to separate from the line with the weight when a fish bites, so you can use the rod to retrieve just the fish, and not the weight also. Attached to, or positioned above the weight, if the release does not preform properly you will loose both valuable fishing time and fish. The snap hook is on the weight side, and the fishing line is gripped between the soft yellow pads with variable release tension attained by moving the line in or out of the jaws.
• Leader with stacking self-locating snap hook
• Patented "tension adjuster" doubles the holding power if needed
• Streamline design won't snag on weeds or foul lines
