Any of the six Hawk Epoxy Fillers can be used with any combination of Hawk Epoxy Resin and Catalysts, giving the user a large range of epoxy blends, all within a single system.
The F3 Light Density Adhesive Micro Fiber Filler thickens to an off-white color. Especially well-suited for wood, F3 filler also creates an easy to use, multi-purpose adhesive for many other substrates.
F3 Filler provides excellent substrate wetting and penetrating characteristics. It increases impact and abrasion resistance.
The F3 Filler is one of Sea Hawk's more versatile fillers. A short fiber filler, F3 produces strong bonds and is the best Sea Hawk filler to use for laminating. Its fiber content makes it somewhat difficult to sand.
In decreasing order of suitability, use F3 Light Density Adhesive Micro Fiber Filler for laminating, then for bonding hardware and general bonding. F3 Filler will provide adequate performance when used for bonding with fillets, but the F2 Structural Filler is better suited for this purpose. F3 mixtures are typically too thick to use for fairing.

Bonding, fairing, coating, waterproofing, and air exchange reduction have never been easier. Simply choose a catalyst for your working conditions, then select an optional filler to fine-tune the mixture's strength and thickness for bonding, filleting, laminating, or fairing ability.
When using fillers, blend in small amounts to the mixed resin and catalyst until the desired thickness is achieved.
Depending on the use, mixing in more or less of the filler material will allow multiple uses with the same filler. For example:
• For laminating flat panels or bonding large surfaces, filler should be mixed to a pourable or injectable consistency.
• For general bonding, filleting or bonding hardware, mix material to a slightly to moderately thick consistency.
• If you desire a zero-sag effect, mix to a very thick consistency. This can act as a filler for uneven surfaces without worry of sag.
• To ensure maximum adhesion and strength, use only enough filler to avoid sagging or running. When using a resin/catalyst/filler mixture for bonding, a small amount of mixture should squeeze out from between the two items that are being bonded to each other when they are pushed together.
Increasing the filler to resin/catalyst ratio will deduct strength and increase sandability.
