An upgraded version of the latest Heavyduty Block that has gained a good reputation in Japan as well as overseas for its high working load limit. Ever since the current model was introduced approximately 20 years ago, the fishing industry has faced a number of changes. As fishing vessels became larger, equipment that can withstand the increased power that the vessels produce became necessary. Heavyduty Block Type PB has been developed against a background of such a shift in vessel size while taking safety and reliability into consideration with various improvements such as the addition of two sets of steel bearings, which produces rotational stability. The size 125 model boasts a working load limit of 2.5 tons, and the size 150 model, 3.0 tons.
The special design to assure safety and reliability
A double arm for the top part and a rib structure in the center of the main body distributes the applied load and at the same time these features reduce and optimize the weight of the product. Forged parts are used for swiveling sections where strength is required.
Bearings for smooth rotation
The current model contains one set of shield bearings, whereas this new model has two sets. This helps the rotation stability of the sheave under heavy loads, and improves workability at sea.
Full-fledged system to prevent unintended release and looseness of the pin
To prevent the unintended release of the toggle pin, it can only be removed when it is aligned with the groove. The nut can only be turned when the double ring is pulled.
