Overview
Contains 3M Cubitron II precision-shaped abrasive grain, coated on a heavy duty backing. Resin bonded for heat resistance. Coated with a dry grinding aid to help reduce heat build up.

The 3M™ Cubitron II file belt offers revolutionary performance with precision shaped ceramic abrasive grain on a heavy duty backing. This high-performing belt contains a grinding aid, making it ideal for medium to high pressure applications on automotive-type high strength steel.
Precision shaped grain continually fractures into super-sharp points and edges that slice cleanly through metal like a knife, rather than gouging or plowing as traditional abrasives do. This, coupled with a dry grinding aid coating, creates a super-fast cut and lessens heat build-up on the host panel, reducing heat-related stress cracks and discoloration.
Moreover, because the abrasive itself stays cooler and sharper, it lasts significantly longer than conventional ceramic grain belts, decreasing costs and reducing belt changeovers.

• Precision shaped ceramic grain continuously fractures into sharp points that cut exceptionally fast, helping increase productivity
• Precision shaped ceramic grain is engineered to run cooler, reducing metal discoloration/oxidation and the chance of heat related stress cracks
• Coated with a dry grinding aid to further enhance the product's ability to run cooler and cut faster
• Precision shaped grain requires less pressure, which can mean less technician fatigue
• Precision shaped grain requires less pressure, which can mean less technician fatigue
• Heavy duty backing excels in medium/high pressure high strength steel applications
• Note that "+" grits indicate abrasive particles of the specified grade, and finer

How to Measure a Sanding Belt
Abrasive belts are always sized Width x Length (circumference).

To measure the Width of the belt:
1) Lay the belt on a flat surface and measure the width.

To measure the Length of the belt:
1) Make a small mark on the inside of the belt with a pen or marker
2) Make a corresponding mark on a large flat surface, benchtop or floor
3) Slowly roll the belt through a full rotation until the mark on the inside of the belt is once again touching the flat surface
4) Make a mark on the flat surface where it touches
5) Measuring between the 2 marks will give you the length of the belt
