These Scotch-Brite discs are durable, non-woven, Cubitron™ abrasive products used for light grinding and blending applications.
Use them on carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.
Refine grindlines, blend welds, prep surfaces for painting, use for light deburring.
Using the heavy duty maroon disc you can go from a 36 grit scratch to commercial grade paint ready in a single step, on cold rolled steel.
The super duty blue disc is aggressive enough to soften and refine a weld, with out the need for preliminary grinding.
They provide a Scotch-Brite™ burr-free finish.
These discs have a blended aluminum oxide/ceramic Cubitron abrasive package.
The synthetic Cubitron abrasive is incredibly hard, lasts longer than aluminum oxide, and is particularly resistant to heat — making these discs suitable for grinding applications.
Use these discs with your choice of a ribbed or smooth backing plate, and a mounting hub. See Related Products, below.
For the discs with the intergal TN metal mounting nut (5/8-11 threads), no disc nut is required - only the plate.
For the discs with No Hole - just a plain Hookit back - an appropriate size Hookit backup pad is used. See Related Products.
