120A 6-Series Alternator/Regulator Kit w/Max Charge Ext. Regulator - Dual Vee Belt, 1" or 2" Single Foot Mount

This "Max Charge" 6-Series Alternator + External Regulator Kit includes the updated MC-614 advanced multi-stage external voltage regulator with battery-type optimized programs to deliver efficient, maximal battery charging.
It is ideal for use with larger battery banks and other installations where the alternator's internal fixed voltage regulator does not meet your electrical system's needs.

The 6-Series is Balmar’s top selling alternator line. With a 12 Volt output, the small-case 6-Series is available in 70A, 100A, 120A and 150A versions available in all four common mounting configurations (see link to Data Sheet, below).

Purchased either individually or as a charging kit, 6-Series Alternators can solve a multitude of charging problems at a reasonable price.
All kits come with alternator, external regulator, and alternator and battery temperature sensors.
Available charging kits include a choice of newly updated ARS-5 or MC-614 external regulators with battery-type optimized programs and deliver the smartest charge possible, with the added assurance of built-in regulator redundancy.

While all Balmar’s high-output alternators are designed and recommended for use with their multi-stage voltage regulators, all 6-Series Alternators also incorporate a Smart Ready™ 14.1V fixed voltage internal regulator.
If battery loads are relatively small and your engine is running frequently, the alternator’s internal regulator may be sufficient to support your electrical needs without external regulation.
However, if your vessel utilizes larger deep-cycle battery banks or the engine’s duty cycle is less frequent (as is the case in most sailing applications), the 6-Series Alternator combines and works seamlessly with Balmar’s external ARS-5 voltage regulator or external MC-614 Max Charge voltage regulator for increased charging efficiency.
