Newport Weather Guard for Short Deck Cap with Exhaust Guard Installed

This fitting is appropriate for both models of Newport Propane Heaters - the P9000 (P9) and the P12000 (P12).
Newport Weather Guards fit over the top of your Newport Propane Heater's Deck Cap (DIK 19-050) to protect it from the elements when it is not in use.
They come in four versions. Pay attention:
One version fits over the plain Deck Cap deck fitting.
The other version is larger to fit over a Deck Cap which has the optional Exhaust Guard (DIK 19-080 or 19-080A) installed over it.
EACH of these versions has a short and a tall variation to account for Dickinson's re-design of the Deck Cap in 2014; see below.

So there are short and tall versions of Weather Guard for use with the Deck Cap only.
And there are short and tall versions for use with the Deck Cap plus optional Exhaust Guard.

The background:
In July 2014, Dickinson made an improvement in the design of the Deck Cap fitting for their Newport Propane Heaters, which made them 3/8" taller.
This resulted in the existing Deck Cap accessories (Cap Guards and Weather Guards) no longer fitting over the new Deck Caps, as they were too short.
Dickinson has designed a new series of these accessories to fit the new, taller, Deck Cap.
These taller Cap Guard and Weather Guard accessories have part numbers ending in "A"

Which Cap Guard do you own?
It's simple:
Measure the distance between the bottom of the two "bells" of your Deck Cap.
If the distance between the bells is 1-5/8", you have the old style - and should use the "non-A" accessories.
If the distance between the two bells is 2", you have the new, taller, version - and should use the "A" accessories.

To avoid the disappointment of accessories not fitting, do not mix the A and non-A parts.
