Hi-Mod mechanical terminals have a unique crown ring that assures the wires stay evenly spaced around the fitting. This eliminates the need for bending the wires, assures that the cone is in the proper place, and keeps the strands from dropping into the cone slot. • The longer cone evenly spreads the load along the wire, increasing the compressive forces inside the fitting • The crown ring is manufactured from aluminum bronze, which reduces the galling problem inherent in these fittings • Cone and crown ring do not have to be replaced upon reuse of the fitting
