The ACR SR203 GMDSS Survival Radio (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) meets all the requirements of the IMO for carriage on SOLAS vessels.
Built tough for all marine applications, and easy to use in an emergency situation, the SR203 is the ideal choice for mandatory and voluntary carriage.
The digital display and control buttons are backlit making operation in low light environments simple. Once activated, the SR203 automatically tunes to Channel 16, and has a single-push Channel 16 call button to quickly return to the emergency channel.
Along with a SART and an EPIRB, a Survival Radio is mandatory for all commercial vessels that must conform to GMDSS, as well as any vessel carrying more than one liferaft or lifeboat.
With a 5-year primary battery, the SR203 is suitable for packing in a liferaft, or abandon ship bag.
