The atlas consists of three parts:
• Part A: charts for determining the approximate tidal stream pattern at a specified time
• Part B: charts for determining the change in tidal stream flows over a 25 hour period of a typical large or small tide.
• Part C: shows the current flow patterns for three hours before low water, at low water, and for three hours after low water for small, medium, and large river discharges
