The SmartBoost 50™ must be used in conjunction with an existing 50 Amp isolation or polarization transformer.
Does your dockside nominal 240V AC power suffer from low line voltage? The SmartBoost 50 transformer monitors 240V AC shore power and adjusts it to maintain a safe operating voltage for your vessel’s 240 volt AC power system.
It is a universal AC voltage booster designed to increase incoming nominal 240 volt AC shore power voltage should it suffer from low line voltage or problems at the power station.
When properly installed, the SmartBoost 50 will automatically monitor the 240 volt dockside input voltage. If the input voltage drops below 210V AC, the SmartBoost 50 will boost the output voltage by approximately 15%. Then, if the input voltage reaches 223V AC the SmartBoost 50 will switch to a 1:1 (no boost) mode. If the input voltage falls below 166V AC the SmartBoost 50 will shut down - protecting on board equipment from low voltage damage.
• Rugged high-quality construction

• Automatic protection shut-down if line voltage drops below 166V AC
• Marine UL listed
• Made in USA
An optional Remote LED Indicator is available #93-SMTBREMOTE-A; see Accessory Products, below.
Heavy on the technical side...
It is recommended that the SmartBoost 50 be installed on the secondary side of an isolation transformer. When connected to the secondary side of the isolation transformer the SmartBoost 50 becomes part of the isolated AC system.
Optional Remote Panel
The remote panel (part# 93−SMTBREMOTE−A) will increase the status monitoring ability of the SmartBoost 50. The remote panel displays Power, Boost, and Low Voltage indicator lights. The remote Power, Boost and Low Voltage indicator lights will display the same indicator lights that appear on the SmartBoost 50. If the input voltage falls to 177V AC the red low voltage indicator light will flash. When the input voltage falls to below 166V AC the SmartBoost 50 will shut down and the red indicator light will remain constantly on.
