Superbuff Buffing Pad Adaptor

3M Superbuff Pad Adaptor - 5/8-11 internal thread which turns onto a polisher on one end, and a short black 5/8-11 external thread on the other end which threads into the pad hub.
The short threaded shaft controls how far the double-sided buffing pad can screw down — preventing the end of the shaft from sticking through the pad and scratching the surface you are buffing.
For use with 3M Superbuff Pads (PNs 5703 and 5705, and economy pad 33280).

This adapter extends double-sided buffing pads away from the tool to avoid skinned knuckles.

If you want to temporarily switch to a single-sided Hookit pad, without having to remove this adapter from your polisher, you can simply thread a low profile #05718 backing pad directly onto this adapter, and then attach your buffing pad.
