Flex Coupler Kit - for Standard 125mm Tunnel Thrusters

This kit allows you to replace an older (pre-2018) 125mm tunnel thruster's simple shearpin drive with an updated drive pin/flexible coupler — without the inconvenience of having to replace the motor mount/bracket.
Typically these are the SE30 or SEP30 and SE40 or SEP40 thrusters.

Installing a Flex Coupler will provide full electrical isolation of the gear leg and also allow a degree or two of drive train misalignment.
Plus, the flex in the coupler helps ease the torque shock of starting and stopping the thruster and also dampens system vibrations, helping to extend thruster service life.
If you observe unusual shearpin wear (flattened pin sides or metal filings) due to the alignment being off - with the potential for shearpin failure - a Flex Coupler could be a solution.

Since inserting the flexible coupler adds additional length to the drive train, the included adapter/spacer plate inserts between the motor and the motor bracket, adding 15mm of extra space to accommodate the flex coupling.
