Description
Overheat protection – automatic detection of overheating of internal components.
When an unsafe temperature is detected, this switch automatically shuts the thruster off to prevent overheating.
This replacement thermo switch is used in:
• SP75-12/24V and SE80-12V/24V On/Off Thrusters with K-Type motors
• SE120-24V and SE150-24V On/Off Thrusters with K-Type motors
• SP155-24V and SE170-24V On/Off Thrusters with K-Type motors
This item replaces part numbers SMTHERM-05K and SMTHERM-07K.
There are three versions of motors utilized on Sleipner (Side-Power) Thrusters; the different motor versions are referred to as “K”, “S” or “R” versions.
Knowing your motor version is necessary in order to source the correct replacement Thermo-Switch, Brushes, and Brush Springs.
All other parts are interchangeable among the motor versions.
“K” version motors have a ventilated top cap on the motor that encloses the brush assembly. The cap is held in place by either two or four bolts.
“K” version motors have a total of eight brushes and springs; four sets of two brushes, each brush holder has two brushes and two brush springs.
