Easily recognized by its bright indigo color, Tape 471+ is a higher tack version of the familiar vinyl Tape 471.
Its stretchy vinyl backing is very conformable to curves and shapes.
It has excellent dead stretch properties.
This means that when it is stretched over a bump, joint, or across a depression during application, you can come back and press it into the unconformity, and it stays stretched, continues to stick, and will not lift over time.
The surface remains protected and, when masking, paint will not seep under the tape in these stretched situations.
• Highly conformable for hard-to-mask shapes
• Ideal for taping, wrapping or sealing many curved, convex, or irregular surfaces
• Excellent for masking over rivets on aluminum boats
• Provides an excellent, sharp edge for critical paint and varnish masking
• Rubber adhesive provides good initial adhesion to many surfaces and excellent long term holding strength
• Clean removal from many surfaces making for reduced clean-up and labor costs
• Good solvent resistance
• Compatible with waterborne paints
• Priced by the roll
