566A Flap Disc

3M™ 566A Flap Discs are used on rotary angle grinders for stock removal and finishing applications on mild steel, non-ferrous metals, and stainless steel. They provide a versatile, one-disc system for metal fabrication applications where more durability is needed for medium-weight grinding, small weld removal, finishing, and surface preparation.
Run on a right angle grinder, flap discs are a one-step alternative to bonded wheels and fiber discs.

A lighter backing than the 577F discs allows these discs to "break down" faster - exposing new abrasive material for less waste - letting you use up the entire disc.

The alumina zirconia abrasive on these discs is a step up from aluminum oxide flap discs, and is an inexpensive alternative to 3M's better performing 700 series Cubitron and premium performance 900 series Cubitron II flap discs.
