Perfect-It EX Machine Polish

Use this Perfect-It EX Machine Polish as Step 2 in 3M's Paint Refinishing System (following Perfect-It EX Rubbig Compound).

Designed for use with machine polishers such as rotary, orbital and dual-action polishers, this is 3M’s highest-performing machine polish for removing swirl marks after compounding painted surfaces.

• Produces a refined, polished finish to painted surfaces where the paint work looks faded because it has been oxidized by the sun
• Longer wet time – less product is required for each use, saving money
• Holds better on polishing pads for reduced sling, mess and cleanup time
• Finish with an application of 3M Boat Wax
• Color-coded bottles allow for easy reference in the shop or on the dock
• Part of the 3M Perfect-It Paint Finishing System for showroom grade finishes

3M Perfect-It EX Machine Polish is the highest-performing machine polish 3M has ever introduced for removing compound swirl marks in surface repairs. It stays wet longer, letting you use less polish for the same refined finish. Yet it also holds better on the pad for reduced sling and easier cleanup. You get smooth, polished surfaces without compound swirl marks – faster, and at less cost.

You never thought one machine polish could deliver both of these important advantages — until now. 3M Perfect-It EX Machine Polish stays wet longer on the substrate, meaning you don't need to keep reapplying it and using valuable material during the process of compound swirl removal and polishing. This can be especially important in places where heat and humidity are common inside or outside of the shop. Yet the polish also holds better on the pad, reducing the mess, waste and cleanup time associated with sling. Quite simply, Perfect-It EX Machine Polish is 3M's highest-performing machine polish for better material cost efficiency, lower process times and refined, swirl-free finishes after compounding.

An Excellent Finish, Fast
At the heart of this specially formulated polish is aluminum oxide, the same mineral abrasive used in many of top-performing 3M abrasive discs and sheets. In fact, fine grade aluminum oxide discs are part of the Scratch Refinement stage of the Perfect-It Paint Finishing System, which includes EX Machine Polishes. This abrasive cuts quickly and uniformly in a very fine grade to remove swirl marks and tiny sand scratches.
