Perfect-It Hookit Backup Pad - for 9" Compounding & Polishing Pads

A specialty low profile backup pad for use with the 3M Superbuff™ stand-off adaptor (#05710). Similar to the #05717 Standard Hookit Backup Pad, the #05718 can be used for all 3M single-sided Hookit buffing/compounding and polishing pads.

The difference is that the #05718 has a low profile hub for use on polishers which already have a #05710 adaptor on them -- where you want to keep the adaptor on all the time, so you can easily switch back and forth between single and double sided pads.
For example, the #05718 backup pad enables double-sided Superbuff compounding pad users to temporarily change to the single-sided Perfect-It Foam Polishing Pad (#05725) without having to remove the Superbuff Adaptor from the polisher.
