This block has recently been re-designed to increase the size of the line capacity, even though the sheave diameter has remained the same.
Although not visible in the photos, the hex nut securing the axle is, itself, secured by a small set screw. To remove the sheaves, you must first loosen the set screw, then unscrew the nut on the axle. The size of the hex wrench needed for the set screw is 2 mm.
• Material - SCS11 (SUS329J1) special dual-phase stainless steel - selected for its high strength and abrasion/corrosion resistance
• Sheave material - SCS13 (equivalent to 304 SS)
• Material - Swivel/cheeks/Sheave pin/set screw with a hexagon hole - SUS304 (304 SS)
• Oil impregnated bronze bushing
While the Working Load Limit for these blocks is provided by the manufacturer, and is set at 10% to 12% of the breaking load, the Safe Working Load is determined by the country in which the block is used.
