This is Battle Born's flagship 100Ah 12V LiFePO₄ Deep Cycle Battery, but with an added proprietary, internal, low current draw heating system for the ability to safely charge the battery at temperatures below freezing.
Unlike lead acid batteries, typical lithium ion batteries should not be charged at temperatures below 32°F due to potential permanent damage.*
When enabled, the proprietary, low current draw, heater technology and controller keep your battery warm and ready to charge at low temperatures.
The heater can be activated manually via a panel switch, or wired to automatically enable at 35°F.
Unlike other lithium-ion batteries, the heater allows the battery to be charged at temperatures as cold as 25°F.
Designed for long-term use, these lithium-ion batteries can last up to 10 times longer than traditional lead-acid batteries, providing 3,000-5,000 deep discharge cycles versus 500-1,200 for lead-acid.
Compared to a conventional lead-acid battery, this 31 lb Battle Born rechargeable battery is 1/5th the weight for the same amount of usable power. It provides up to 3x more power in the same physical volume, and charges 5x faster.
With maximum safety, flexibility, and versatility, this LiFePO₄ battery is maintenance-free, produces no emissions, and can be wired in series or parallel and installed in any position, orientation, or space.

*How much power does the heat function consume?
On average, the internal heating function consumes about 1.8 amps. Tests show at 0°F with no insulation, the heater function is on about 30% of the time.
The heater will activate when the internal temperature of the battery reaches 35°F, and shut off at 45°F. If the battery has been exposed to below freezing temperatures for a long time without the heater enabled, it will take 2 to 4 hours for the internals of the battery to heat up enough for the battery to accept a charge.
Heavy on the technical side...
All rechargeable batteries can be discharged over a large temperature range, but their charging temperature range is limited due to rising internal resistance when cold.
For best results, charge between 50°F and 86°F. Lower the charge current when charging below 41°F.
Older lead-acid battery technologies have higher charging tolerances than newer systems such as Li-ion – allowing them to be charged at temperatures below freezing.
When it comes to cold-charging, however, Li-ion batteries need special care – especially below 41°F.
Many battery users are unaware that consumer-grade lithium-ion batteries should not be charged when below 32°F (0°C).
Although the battery appears to be charging normally, plating of metallic lithium occurs on the anode leading to permanent degradation in performance and safety.
