Description
This water strainer is made of strong, corrosion-resistant Marelon®. It features an integral mounting bracket and a clear polycarbonate lid for ready inspection.
The stainless steel strainer basket can be easily removed for cleaning.
Loosening the mounting bracket clamp and rotating the housing allows the exit port to positioned in the proper direction for versatile mounting options. The intake port is on the bottom of the unit.
• Intake and exit ports are 1-1/2" NPSM parallel threads, to which you can attach various sizes of hose barb tailpipes, as needed
• Reducers for 3/4" ID hose are available separately; see Related Products, below
• Dimensions: diameter 6.3", height 6.1"
• Maximum flow rate is 40 gpm with 1-1/2" port fittings
A seacock is required on the intake thru-hull in the hull, and it is advisable to have an inline valve on the back side (outlet) as well - so the unit can be completely isolated for basket removal and cleaning without having backflow spillage into your bilge.
