Description
Bonifacio Winch has been developed specifically for use with anchor windlasses, although it can easily be deployed by hand on a boat without a windlass. A flexible, segmented lead core runs the total length of the rope. Its weight ensures the anchor pulls horizontally when set, and helps damp the movement of the boat.
The lead core has the approximate weight equivalent of 1/4" chain (0.74 lb/ft); strength varies with the line size (see table). The braided, 16-plait soft outer covering will not damage topsides and provides abrasion resistance and easy handling.
