27 mm Midrange CB Traveler Car - with Shackle & 3:1 Controls

These Midrange Captive Bearing Traveler Cars have factory installed 3:1 purchase configurations for traveler car adjustment. You can increase the purchase on an existing car (up to a max. of 4:1) using the 27 mm Purchase Upgrade Kit; see Related Products, below.

Proper choice of purchase allows easy adjustment of the car using a single line and no winch. High-strength Torlon® ball bearings run on machined, Hardkote-anodized, Teflon® impregnated races for smooth trimming and easing.

The cars have a simple shackle for attaching the mainsheet block to the car. The car is designed so it is possible to upgrade the shackle to a stand-up toggle, if desired.

The following specifications apply to Harken's 27 mm (1.06") Mid-Range series of Traveler Cars and Track
The standard (1800 lb SWL) 4-1/4" car is typically suitable for mono-hull mainsails up to 260 ft² with end-boom sheeting, and 215 ft² with mid-boom sheeting.
The high load (2300 lb SWL) 5-3/16" car is typically suitable for mono-hull mainsails up to 300 ft² with end-boom sheeting, and 240 ft² with mid-boom sheeting.
