Unit 3 MKIV Furling System Toggles

Harken® toggle assemblies accept standard turnbuckles with swage, rod, Norseman®, or Sta-Lok® terminals.
Unit 3 toggles are available in three styles and multiple pin sizes for 3/4", 7/8", 1" and 1-1/8" headstay/chainplate clevis pins.

This is a required purchase for all Unit 3 MKIV Ocean furlers.
Also a required purchase for those Unit 3 MKIV Racing furlers sold without an included toggle.

A single stainless steel clevis pin provides access to the turnbuckle for adjustment.

The #7413.20 and #7513.20 Heavy Duty (Short Link Plate) Jaw x Jaw Toggles include reinforcing side plates which attach to the four threaded sockets in the bottom of the furler's lower unit. They do not raise the drum or change the length of the furler assembly.

The use of a #7312.21 Stainless Steel Long Link Plate Toggle allows you to raise the furler drum higher off the deck to clear obstructions such as bow rollers, anchors or windlasses. While the drum is higher, the headstay/turnbuckle rigging length remains the same.
These long link plates have several height adjustment options which, depending on whether the plate is used full length or shortened to one of the 5 additional hole positions, will raise the drum and shorten the luff extrusion length between:
• 10-11/16" and 19-9/16" for 3/4" clevis pin systems
• 11” and 19-7/8” for 7/8" clevis pin systems

The non-adjustable #7513.21 Black Long Link Tube Toggles are available only for MKIV Ocean furlers with 1" or 1-1/8" clevis pin diameters. They are made of aluminum and are Hardcoat anodized black. The bottom has the regular 316 SS Heavy Duty short link plates and 316 SS Toggle.
Installation of the #7513.21 Long Link Tube will raise the drum and shorten the luff extrusion length by:
• 16.525" for both 1" and 1-1/8" clevis pin systems
While the drum is higher, the headstay/turnbuckle rigging length remains the same.
