The 17360-1001 is a heavy duty marine, flexible impeller, raw water cooling pump for Caterpillar engine models D-336 and D-353.
With minor plumbing modifications this pump may be adapted to the Caterpillar D-343, the Detroit Diesel V-71 and V-92 and some Stewart and Stevenson marinizations of Detroit Diesel Engines.
This is a Gear Drive engine cooling pump. The drive gear fitted to this heavy duty flange mount pump is supported by the pump ball bearings and driven by one of the engine gears.
The Neoprene impeller in this pump depends on liquid pumped for lubrication. Do not run dry for more than thirty (30) seconds as lack of liquid will burn the impeller.
