Dan Bag - Dan Buoy MOB Soft Holder

The Dan Bag™ is a convenient and functional holder and mount for the SOS Dan Buoy MOB marker (not included).
Mount the Dan Bag within reach of the helm to enable quick deployment of the dan buoy. This holder is both durable and flexible. It is manufactured of the same weather and UV resistant reinforced PVC-coated fabric used for inflatable boats.

The Dan Bag comes with four pre-drilled 3/16" holes offering simple, easy bulkhead attachment or rail, stanchion, or pulpit mounting (with the two (2) included brackets for 7/8" or 1" tubing).
Adaptable to a wide variety of mounting options, the heavy duty material can be easily drilled, if necessary, so alignment with custom attachment points is easy.

Note:The day–glow dan buoy is stored inside the white Dan Bag. To deploy:
1) Lift the top flap of the white Dan Bag and remove the day-glow dan buoy.
2) Throw the dan buoy to the person in the water.

Dan Bag Mounting Options —

Mount on Bulkhead
Bulkhead mounting is a great choice if your vessel’s circumstances permit. Mount the dan buoy where it is easily accessible at a moment's notice when you need to throw the dan buoy to a person in the water. On a pilothouse motor yacht, this might be just inside the wheelhouse. On a commercial fishing boat, you might locate the Dan Bag on the aft end of the house in the cockpit area.

Mount on Railing
If stanchion, pulpit, or rail mounting suits your vessel better, you can mount the Dan Bag using the 2 included rail mount brackets which fit 7/8" and 1" tubing. Inpsect your particular installation and add larger fender washers, as necessory, to further support the fabric.
