Sensor Mounting Adapters, Top (Outside) Adapter - for S3U BSP-Threaded Sensors

KUS liquid level fuel and water senders include the SSS and SSL flange models which mount with a common SAE 5-hole pattern and typically seal with a gasket and screws
The model S3 and S3U sensors which have a 1.25” BSP-threaded mount
And the S5 and S5U sensors which have a 1.5” NPT threaded mount

The FL-2WE adapter kit in this entry has a female BSP-threaded central hole for mounting a BSP Threaded (S3/S3U) Tank Sensor to your water, fuel, or oil tank.
This can be done if you are either replacing an existing SAE 5-hole flanged sensor with a BSP-threaded sensor, or as a new BSP-threaded installation in a tank with an existing SAE 5-hole mount.

This FL-2WE Top Adapter Kit mounts externally, on top of the tank, and has central 1-1/4" BSP threads to accept an S3 or S3U threaded fuel or water sensor, which also has BSP threads.
The nylon adapter's flange has two bolt-hole patterns: an SAE 5-hole (inner pattern), and a European (VDO) standard 5-hole (outer pattern).
A nitrile rubber gasket with the same dual hole patterns is included.
Fasteners are not included.
Can be used on plastic, metal, and fiberglass tanks.

To Install a Threaded Sensor:
• To install an S3U Threaded SAE Tank Sensor, you will need the FL-2WE Top Adapter, which will match up with the existing threaded holes in your tank
• For a new Threaded Sensor installation, you will also need the FLS-U Under Adapter, which will provide the necessary threaded mounting holes

When mounting a sensor in tanks with a thin top KUS recommends using an FL-2 Flange Adapter together with an FLS-U Under-Ring Adapter to secure against leaks.
The hole pattern on the FLS-U fits the 5 inner holes on the FL-2.
