Mustang - Automatic to Manual Conversion Cap for HIT Hydrostatic Inflator

The MA7219 Conversion Cap is used to convert auto inflating PFDs equipped with Hammar M1 hydrostatic inflators from their normal automatic inflation mode to manual inflation only.
This is a special use item, typically used by specialized commercial, law enforcement, and rescue personnel, when working in water but not wanting their auto PFDs to deploy.
Unwanted inflation can be a nuisance for personnel who have to do work both in and out of the water, since hydrostatic inflators will typically activate in just a few inches of water.

The Hydrostatic Manual Conversion Cap is used to cover the water inlet port on the Hydrostatic Inflators (HIT models) — effectively de-activating them.
At this point, pulling on the backup Manual Inflation Handle becomes the only way to inflate the PFD. That is, installation of the Conversion Cap converts the PFD to "Manual Only" activation.

The hydrostatic inflator can be changed back to "Automatic Inflation" by removing the conversion cap.

• The Conversion Cap is compatible with these PFDs (which all have hydrostatic inflators): MD0450 22, MD4020, MD4030, MD1250, MD1250 SO, MD3196 and MD3196 SO.
• NOTE:  This conversion cap, when installed, voids any USCG approval for the device
