This innovative (made in PNW/USA) product, currently pending a patent, known as Carbon Helix, the Nautilus Filter with five helical chambers, dramatically increases air-to-carbon contact time — delivering over 6× the odor removal performance and lifespan of conventional holding tank vent filters.

The Nautilus Filter employs a unique combination of Specialized Activated Carbons that are specifically designed to target gases (primarily H2S) and sewer odors generated in a holding tank.

Through thorough testing, these Specialized Activated Carbons were selected and combined. The Nautilus Filter offers the highest efficiency in odor removal and the most durable performance on the market. It comes with a custom refill funnel.

Which Nautilus Filter™ Is Right for Your Boat?
PRO (original) Model or OEM Model?

If you have the available space, the Nautilus Filter™ PRO Model is generally the best choice.

The PRO Model is larger in diameter than conventional holding tank vent filters, allowing significantly greater airflow with nearly zero vent air restriction. This helps maintain proper tank ventilation while also providing our highest level of odor removal performance and longest service life.

Many common holding tank vent filters—including models from Dometic®, Sealand®, SaniGard®, Voker®, Yacht Z Marine®, and Camco®—use a long, narrow housing. While this compact design fits many installations, it also creates considerably greater resistance to airflow. During aggressive pump-outs, this airflow restriction can contribute to excessive vacuum inside the holding tank. Most conventional disposable filters do not incorporate a reverse-flow bypass valve to relieve this condition.

Both Nautilus Filter™ models include an integrated reverse-flow bypass valve that allows unrestricted airflow back into the holding tank during pump-out, helping reduce the possibility of tank deformation or collapse.

Although the Nautilus Filter™ OEM Model has slightly greater airflow resistance than our Standard Model due to its compact size, it still provides lower airflow restriction than many conventional filters in the same form factor while delivering substantially improved odor removal performance.
