Intake Water Strainer - 4" Flanged Ports

For easy maintenance, aircraft style nuts hold the top cover securely without lock washers. They are held captive by the body and can't be dropped or lost. Once the nuts are loosened, a convenient handle on the cover allows it to be easily removed, providing quick access to the strainer basket. Four 316 stainless steel tie rods and strainer basket minimize electrolysis.
The diameter of the screen holes is 0.079" providing 47% open area, among the highest in the industry for cyclindrical strainer baskets. A drain plug in the bottom casting is provided for easy sediment removal or to drain when winterizing.
