Description
Breather is designed to aid in the evacuation of air from the dry composite fibers or pre-preg layers during the debulking process at room temperature; it also behaves as an open channel for gasses to escape during curing at elevated temperature and pressure whilst the laminate is still in its liquid phase before curing.
Breather Fabric PET breather/bleeder. Drapes easily and works well with single curvature and complex parts. Good for autoclave pressure processes. Can be used in multiple layers to increase the flow capacity.
Pre-production trials are recommended to confirm suitability of PRO-VAC Vacuum Consumables with your unique laminate schedules and processes.
PV-90 4.4 oz Breather Fabric is 0.07" (1.8 mm) thick and comes in 5 ft (1.52 m) x 328 ft (100 m) rolls. Maximum use temperature is 204°C (400°F).
PV-92 10 oz Breather Fabric is 0.10" (2.5 mm) thick and comes in 5 ft (1.52 m) x 164 ft (50 m) rolls. Maximum use temperature is 204°C (400°F).
