3/16" Shock Block - Gray (Pair)

With a smooth running surface, Ronstan's Shock Blocks are simple, weight saving, cost effective replacements for conventional small blocks in a wide variety of applications. They are obvious choices for kitesurfing, paragliding, sailboat and racing dinghy control line deflectors, and small multi-purchase systems that require a lightweight high load capacity block.

Shock blocks are available in four color options - blue, green, gray, and red. They are designed primarily for "soft attachment" - spliced to a line end, or lashed in place, however webbing, pigtail, and dyneema links are also useful options.

The applications for Shocks are virtually limitless, including numerous high performance dinghy and small sailboat rigging applications - tweakers, vangs, trapezes, cunninghams, barber haulers and kite bridles. They are also handy on larger boats for lazy jacks, sail covers, tie-downs, ladder and motor hoists, and more.
At a mere 2.5 gm (0.1 oz), Shocks are outstanding performers in the strength and weight arena. The clever design and exacting finishing also provide excellent free running at moderate changes of angle. Small and hi-tech line specialists, Shocks accept lines from 1.4 mm (1/16") up to 8 mm (5/16"), and function just as well with hi-tech uncovered braids as with traditional double braids.
