The Nightwave Digital Marine Night Vision Camera represents the forefront of ultra-low-light marine imaging technology.
Nightwave Digital provides unparalleled clarity—even in the absence of moonlight—due to its enhanced IP (PoE) digital connectivity and sophisticated Black Silicon CMOS sensor, surpassing conventional thermal cameras.
Nightwave Digital ensures superior resolution, enhanced reliability, and effortless integration with networked MFD systems. Designed with versatile mounting options and a user-friendly setup, it caters to captains seeking safety without unnecessary complications. Reduced uncertainty leads to increased peace of mind.
Whether you are cruising, fishing, or docking in the dark, Nightwave Digital enables you to remain safe while savoring every moment on the water.
Improved Camera Attributes
Enhanced connectivity; whereas the original Nightwave D-1 Analog necessitated an analog video input for connection to a Multi-Function Display (MFD), this updated camera utilizes a network connection. A Cat 5 Ethernet Cable and RJ45 Clip facilitate greater connectivity with all leading brand MFDs available in the market.
Improved resolution; the camera can now detect objects nearly twice as far away, and the significance of the enhanced resolution is particularly noticeable on larger screens measuring 16 inches and above. It will now deliver a full-screen image without any pixelation.
The previous camera setup required a single camera to connect to just one screen. With the introduction of POE Network Compatibility, it is now possible to use a single camera to transmit images to multiple screens located in various areas of the boat (for example, the helm and the flybridge). Additionally, multiple cameras (for instance, one directed forward and another directed backward) can be connected to a single screen.
*Please Note; This camera lacks pan-tilt functionality. The rationale for this is that it offers a 44-degree field of view (wide view), which is equivalent to what the naked eye perceives when looking straight ahead. Unless a boater is engaged in search and rescue operations, they are unlikely to be concerned with what is to their sides or behind them; their primary focus should be on "what is in front of them." It serves as a "go-forward safety-navigation camera." This design enables us to significantly reduce the costs associated with our cameras.
