The Xtreme top mount control series offers options that most others in the market don't, including trim (most outboards), trim and tilt (most stern drives). A neutral lock-out button option is also available. The neutral lock-out button prevents shifting if the lever is accidentally bumped. This lock-out feature is especially useful on center console boats where bumping the lever is more likely.
The standard items on these controls are the balanced hand grip, neutral safety switch, and neutral warm up button.
The model CHX8141P in this entry includes the Trim function option along with standard neutral safety switch and neutral engine warm-up, but no neutral interlock function.
The chrome handle is on the left side of the dome.
These controls use 3300/33C style control cables and can also use Mercury style cables from 1965 to date.
