The Cerbo GX MK3 serves as the central control unit for a Victron power system. It consolidates data from all batteries, inverters, chargers, MPPTs, tank sensors, and temperature probes into a unified, real-time dashboard accessible via a display at your helm or coach, through the complimentary VictronConnect mobile application, or remotely via the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal. Whether stationed at an isolated location, anchored offshore, or monitoring a remote property from home, the Cerbo GX MK3 provides comprehensive system visibility and operational controls.
The MK3 represents the latest iteration of Victron's Cerbo GX communication hub, replacing the previous Cerbo GX MK2 model. It incorporates comprehensive connectivity features including two operational VE.Can ports (with VE.Can 1 offering galvanic isolation), three VE.Direct ports, three USB host connections, Ethernet connectivity, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, four resistive tank measurement inputs, four temperature sensor inputs, and NMEA 2000 output functionality via VE.Can 2 when paired with the optional Victron interface cable. For those constructing or enhancing a Victron power system, this device functions as the essential integration point for all components.
Comprehensive system monitoring functionality provides real-time visibility into battery charge status, power distribution, photovoltaic generation, generator operational state, shore and grid connectivity, reservoir levels, and thermal conditions, all consolidated within a unified interface.
Remote system management through VRM portal enables monitoring and control of your installation via mobile devices or desktop computers with internet connectivity. The platform facilitates alert notifications, system diagnostics execution, and parameter adjustments without requiring physical presence at the installation site.
Dual operational VE.Can ports facilitate connection of multiple devices to a single Cerbo GX unit. VE.Can port 1 incorporates galvanic isolation, which streamlines installation procedures in applications where the controller area network extends between systems lacking a shared electrical ground reference.
NMEA 2000 output capability via VE.Can port 2 permits integration of Victron system data onto a vessel's NMEA 2000 network infrastructure through the optional Victron VE.Can-to-NMEA 2000 Micro-C connector. This integration enables marine navigation displays and multifunction displays to present battery status, inverter performance, and tank measurements alongside navigational information.
Bluetooth-enabled configuration utilizing VictronConnect software allows preliminary Cerbo setup via smartphone prior to permanent installation. This capability eliminates the necessity of transporting computing equipment into confined engine compartments.
Automated generator control functionality permits establishment of operational parameters based on battery state of charge, temporal scheduling, or system load requirements, with the Cerbo GX managing activation and deactivation automatically.
Architecture designed for scalable system expansion accommodates substantial lithium battery installations and numerous connected VE.Can photovoltaic charging systems. The identical Cerbo unit capable of managing a 12-volt mobile power upgrade can equivalently manage a comprehensive off-grid residential installation.
Compatibility with the GX Touch display module permits installation of a compact, weather-sealed GX Touch 50 or 70 display unit for convenient system status visualization at primary operational locations or living spaces.
