Wichard's HR, high resistance, 17.4 PH alloy is one of the strongest available in marine hardware. This slightly magnetic alloy is used in their top-end products. All wichard hardware is forged, and when stressed to its limits, will show signs of deformation first and will never break suddenly. All Wichard snap shackle pins are captive and cannot be lost accidentally
