4-1/4" Speedlink Trigger Snap Shackle - 5114 lb Working Load

Speedlink trigger snap shackles are designed for spinnaker as well as genoa operations on racing boats, and offer an excellent performance/weight ratio. They are forged using Wichard's "High resistance" ultra high strength 17-4PH stainless steel.

Ultra lightweight — developed by using finite element analysis software, Speedlink has an optimized design thanks to its shape, cut-outs and ribs. Its sophisticated design gives it one of the best strength/weight ratios on the market.

Easy opening — Opening the Speedlink under load - whether manually (low loads only, please) or using release fid - does not require excessive force thanks to the generous trigger hole and its optimized entrance beveling which makes inserting the fid easier.

Will not open accidentally — The special shape of the latch reduces inertia and avoids unintentional opening, especially under impact.
Compared to ordinary snap shackles, the sleek design is less prone to snagging or shaking open.

Sturdy — Speedlink is forged in HR stainless steel which, combined with its higher strength over-the-center pin design, and can bear outstanding working and breaking loads in spite of its very light weight.
