Since 1958 painters have reached for the original Wooster Yachtsman brand to apply durable oil-based finishes.
They provide the finest results with oil-based varnishes, enamels, paints, stains, and urethanes.
Yachtsman paint brushes feature bristles that are soft enough for flowing on the finest varnishes, yet resilient enough for applying the heaviest enamels.
This brush has a traditional 1/2" thick "Sash" style handle which provides more dexterity than a Varnish/Beavertail handle, and holds more paint than a thinner, rattail handle brush.
The solid plastic handles won't warp, chip, or peel if exposed to moisture or solvents.
Yachtsman brushes look, feel, and paint like a much higher-priced brush.
The bristles of these angled brushes are cut on a slant, making it easier to paint clean edged, crisp lines. They work well for painting along edges – for getting straight lines where ceilings meet walls or where trim (like window trim) joins a flat surface.
These techniques are often referred to as "cutting in" or "edging".
Angled brushes also work well for painting anything with grooves, like cabinets, furniture, or paneled doors, etc.
